Meditation Works For Depression

A British study that pitted traditional Buddhist meditation against acidic anti-depressant drugs for symptoms of depression found that meditation prevented more relapses. The "Telegraph" reported that fifteen months after an eight-week trial, only 47 percent of people using meditation experienced a relapse compared with 60 percent of those taking highly acidic anti-depressants.

"Anti-depressants are widely used by people who suffer from depression and that's because they tend to work," said Professor Willem Kuyken of the Mood Disorders Centre at the University of Exeter. "But while they're very effective in helping reduce the symptoms of depression, when people come off them they are particularly vulnerable to relapse."

"The meditative alkalizing technique known as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), works differently. It helps people learn to focus on the present (which has alkalizing effects) instead of dwelling on the past (which has acidic effect) or thinking of the future, which is also acidic," states Dr. Robert O. Young, Director of the pH Miracle Living Center, in San Diego, California. "It teaches people skills for life," said Kuyken.

"What we have shown is that when people work at it, these skills for life help keep people well," said Kuyken.

"I have found that when you incorporate an alkaline diet of green foods and green drinks, daily alkalizing exercise, daily alkalizing breathing, daily meditation and/or prayer, and alkalizing nutritional support, you start feeling better. And, when you start feeling better you start thinking better to the point you forget you are depressed. This can all happen within just a few weeks," states Dr. Young.

The following suggestions are the quickest ways to overcome the symptoms of depression:

1) Start eating and drinking green foods and green drinks. This will help to detox the body from dietary and metabolic acids. It will also start energizing the body.

2) Drink 1 liter of Green drink with 15 drops of Prime pH at least 4 times a day.

7) Meditate and/or prayer for at least 5 to 10 minutes twice daily.

8) Laugh for no reason daily.

9) Eliminate ALL acidic foods, drinks and supplements out of the diet, including animal protein, dairy products, bread, rice and pasta, high sugar fruits, fermented foods, all forms of sugar, vinegar, enzymes, probiotics, mushrooms, yeast, peanuts, corn, alcohol, chocolate, soda water, soda pops, tea, and coffee.

10) Have a infrared sauna daily.

11) Have a lymphatic massage 2 to 3 times a week.

12) Check your urine pH every morning. Make sure your urine pH is at 7.2 or higher. If your pH is lower than 7.2 pH then take 1 scoop of pHour salts in 4 to 6 ounces of water.

13) Start drinking electron-rich alkaline pH water with a pH of at least 9.5.

14) Take an art class. It will help to shift your thoughts to the canvas and will immediately stop the movie playing in your head.
